Your DACA is valid until its expiration date.
DACA and work permits (Employment Authorization Documents) will remain valid until its expiration date. To determine when your DACA and work permit expires, look at your I-795 Approval Notice and the bottom of your Employment Authorization Document (EAD).
2. No new DACA applications will be accepted.
United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) no longer will accept or process first-time applications after September 5, 2017.
3. DACA issuances and work permits expiring between now and March 5, 2018 must be submitted for renewal by October 5, 2017. 
If you have a permit that will expire between now and March 5, 2018, you must apply for a two-year renewal of your DACA by Octb
4. Advance Parole to travel abroad is no longer available.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will no longer grant DACA recipients permission to travel abroad through Advance Parole. Any pending applications for advance parole will not be processed and DHS will refund any associated fees.

On Wednesday, June 22, 2016 La Hermandad Hank Lacayo Youth & Family Center will be honored as a Nonprofit of the Year at a celebration of California Nonprofits Day at the State Capitol in Sacramento.

La Hermandad Hank Lacayo Youth & Family Center has been selected by Senator Hanna Beth Jackson as an exceptional nonprofit organization in her district community. La Hermandad Hank Lacayo Youth & Family Center will join other nonprofit leaders from across the state being honored at this inaugural California Nonprofits Day event.

La Hermandad strives to build a thriving community defined by justice, equality, diversity, and economic prosperity for the underserved community in the California Central Coast. La Hermandad accomplish this by providing the resources, advocacy, and access to services to empower individuals to fulfill their potential as engaged contributors to society. It is an honor for La Hermandad to receive this award. La Hermandad’s Chair Veronica Quintana will be receiving the award.

The award recipients will visit the Assembly Floor and then will be honored at the luncheon at Sacramento’s Sheraton Grand Hotel, with presentations from former Senate President pro Tempore( and Sacramento Mayor-Elect) Darrel Steinberg, Assembly member Rich Gordon, and Jan Masaoka, CEO of the California Association of Nonprofits (CalNonprofits).

“Nonprofit organizations are vitally important to the economy and well-being of California. But too often nonprofits are “hidden in plain sight.’ We are thrilled that the State assembly has passed a resolution putting the spotlight on nonprofits as an economic power that uses that power for the common good. We congratulate all of the award recipients being honored for the great work they do every day to make California a better place,” said Jan Masaoka, CEO of California Association of Nonprofits (CalNonprofits), a state wide alliance of over 10,000 organizations, representing and promoting California’s growing nonprofit sector and working to bring the full power of nonprofits to strengthening communities.
